I created an HTML formatted document in Outlook. I emailed this to one of my sites which automatically posts emails. That email was way out of alignment and had html code fragments scattered throughout it.

Is this result what I will get if I post an RSS feed by email? I am currently using Feed My Inbox to forward rss to my site.

Maybe there is a better way.

    thanks

  • Hi – Pasting code from Word or Outlook into posts or emails that become posts is pretty much guaranteed to affect Internet Explorer layouts as those programs insert Microsoft styling code throughout their documents. In the WordPress editor on the 2nd row of toolbar buttons is a W button that is Paste from Word – when posting from Word directly to a WordPress post, click that button and paste into the box that pops up, which removes the Microsoft formatting.

You will need to find a similar way to do it to the code you are trying to post by email.

    Thank you,
I haven’t used word since I don’t like using 100kb to say ‘hello world’.

I am learning this after getting used to Joomla so I have the habit of copying text into notepad and then copying out if notepad to the editor and applying formatting after that.

That is a good note to have, tho. I’ll have to give it a try.

    Thanks
    Buck
