HTML codes showing in titles and excerpt

  • We have some titles that are long so our authors have put a <br /> in it. Also, when the author enters a double space, WordPress is automatically changing the extra space to the HTML code for a non-breaking space & #160 ;. These convert perfectly on the post, but the related posts at the end show the html codes.

    Is there anyway to have Related Posts Thumbnails show the converted text rather than treat these HTML codes as literal strings?
