html code ignored

  • Earlier posts show boldface type, links, etc. The latest post I wrote ignores html instructions to boldface type and also ignores a link I inserted. The code is there in the WordPress saved file, but it does not appear on the site. Why? What can I do?

    I now realize the problem relates to the More… function. When I link to the post title and the entire post appears, the formatting also appears. But when I insert a More… button, any formatting prior to that disappears. I manually fixed the posts so that only a title appears now, and when it is clicked on the entire formatted post appears.

    While most html code works within the body of an entire post, the list function does not. Is this related to some problem with php?
