I use the HTML before event content to add a heading to the Events listing page and a couple of paragraphs of text. On the single event page I hide the paragraphs with CSS because it’s not needed. Since the update there is no way to add html tags to the content. So instead of <h1>Events</h1> <p>This is the text</p>, it just runs all into one.

I tried making the heading bold using the visual editor and it seems to work but as soon as I save it there’s no bold. I thought it might be because I used the Classic Editor plugin but even disabling this doesn’t help.

I would use the Header <header class=”entry-header”><h1> but weirdly this shows the word ‘Contact’/’ and is in a column off to the left so I’ve had to hide this with CSS as well.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey there,

We’re back with some good news!

In our latest release, we have resolved the issue where Add HTML before event content and Add HTML after event content fields under Events > Settings > Display > Additional Content tab strip out HTML tags

Please update the plugins to their latest versions to apply that fix to your site.
As always, we suggest testing updates on a staging site first and having a recent backup, but it should all be smooth sailing.

    See: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-and-using-a-wordpress-staging-site/

If you have further questions/concerns, please feel free to reach out.
