HTML banner codes showing broken images (or nothing at all)

  • It seems that most of the banners I try to add to my WordPress site aren’t working lately.
    I know how to add html in both the classic editor and the new one in WP 5.0, but it doesn’t seem to matter which one I use. This is happening in the post and the widget areas. Few codes work, most do not.

    Most of the codes I input show up as broken or they don’t show up at all. Maybe a few do, but this isn’t normal.

    Has this happened to anyone else? I have no idea what to do. Can’t seem to find much through searching online. Does anyone have insight?

    -can you share an example of code for the “html banner” that you are trying to use?
    -can you share a link to a post on your website that shows the broken code so volunteers can inspect?

    Have you tried the health check plugin for additional troubleshooting?

    Sounds like there is a problem with the code you are entering or how you are entering it. If this was a WordPress issue and HTML couldn’t be added to WordPress the entire internet would be here posting about it.

    Can you provide a sample of the code or a link to your site so we can actually see what you are talking about and try to help you?

    As per Forum guidelines, please supply a link to the site and what theme you are using.
