Even better – people can use an RSS/Atom/newsfeed reader and simply use the built-in RSS links to your site. Then you don’t have to worry about maintaining a database to keep track of subscribers.

Moose is right, that’s the good stuff. But email options do exist if that’s the way you want to go.
