    Hi there,

I checked my .htaccess file and I’ve seen that it’s on the WordPress default.
I believe this happened when WordPress was automatically updated, not sure why since it hadn’t happened before.

I would like to know how do I make Wordfence re-write my htaccess for full security.

    Thanks,
    Jesús

Hello @jesusginard and thanks for reaching out to us!

We only write a few things to the .htaccess for a few features. One of them is if we find a publicly accessible configuration file, like the php.ini, etc, we’ll add a line to the .htaccess to hide that file (that is a scan result saying we found a publicly accessible file, and give the option for someone to hide it).

Another is the Litespeed no abort. This would be a setting that you would set though via All Options.

I have never seen a WordPress update erase code out of the htaccess file so it is highly possible that there was no code in there to begin with. Was there anything in there prior to the update that you can remember that was Wordfence related?

Let me know what you find!

    Thanks!
