• Hello:
I have my wordpress set up and working.
When I try to activate the permalinks, it says that I have to edit the htaccess file. I don’t see any htaccess files. I think wordpress didn’t created it. Anyways, I don’t know what I have to edit so searching in google, I have tried a lot of ways to create the file, but I allways get an error.
    Can someone help me?

I had wordpress.com before, but I needed some plugins to install and that’s why I changed to a personal host. I know that the answer was so rude… Maybe you could recommend me another host….

GoDaddy offer free hosting i think, but that might possibly be tied to a domain purchase/renewal/transfer, but i do know we have several users here that use it.

    There’s also this.
    dreamhostapps.com/free-wordpress-hosting.html

    Some other free hosts.
    webs.com
    freeblogit.com

I can’t honestly recommend a free host because my personal experience with free hosts has been terrible (that’s not to say it will be the case for everyone), but the dreamhostapps link looks interesting (assuming it’s not your current host).
