• I know what I did wrong I just dont know how to fix! In WP under tools I made a change to my .htaccess file. I did something wrong because now when I go to the site I get error 500 Internal Server Error index.bladolphins.com. I cant find this file anywhere and have tried multiple FTP browsers like safeftp, winscp, filezilla. I have made sure to check settings to look for hidden files and still cant find it.

I have tried making a .htacces file by renaming in the root file but then I get a permission error.

I cant even access my admin through WP only my yahoo and cant find it through their file manager.

How do I fix this PLEASE!?

  • the .htaccess file should be in the folder “index”, if your WordPress
site is in a subdomain, which it appears to be “index.bladolphins.com”

where the index folder is depends on how your server is set up. typically its in a folder in the root web folder. in that folder should be an .htacess file. Another way to state it is, look in the folder in which you installed WordPress.
