• I have a .htaccess file in my root folder that’s okay. but it also exists in the wp-content/uploads/my_plugin directory which I don’t want to keep.
Does WordPress automatically creates these .htaccess files with the plugin folders or this issue is occurring with my site only? and if yes then what can be the possible solution to this issue?

  • The directory you mentioned is not created by WordPress but probably by a plugin you are using. You would have to contact the support of the plugin in question to clarify if you can delete it. WordPress itself creates only one htaccess file: the one in the root directory of the project.

So can I stop plugins to create their own htaccess rather, can write on the main htaccess which is presented in the root directory?

No, you cannot prevent this across the board for all plugins. Contact the support of plugins to which this applies and ask for the support of their developers. However, it should only make sense for a few to prevent the creation of individual htaccess files because they certainly have a functional reason for the respective plugin.
