• I’m not feeling the love over on the other thread, so I thought starting a new one might bring things back to life. (maybe the 24 replies was scaring people off)

I was able to create an .htaccess file. I also was able to successfully enter the format I wanted via the Options > Permalinks page. But now when I click on a comments link to get to the comments form, I get the following message:

    Not Found
The requested URL /blog_test/archives/2005/02/17/welcome-to-family-webwatch/ was not found on this server.

Do I need to adjust permissions to this .htaccess or something?

Any and all help is always appreciated. ??

  • Try deleting all the contents of your .htaccess (in manage->files). Then go to option->permalinks and click on update permalink structure.

Shiva777, I’m so glad someone finally responded. Thank you!

    I’ll give that a try.

Well, my excitement dwindled quickly. I deleted the stuff in that file and made sure I could get to my posts in my blog right after. I got there as hoped. But when I tried to recreate the structure I got the same error message.

I should point out that I’m using v1.2.2, so I’m wondering if your instruction to “manage > files” is found in v1.5?

    More ideas?

Would it help if I post what the .htaccess file says?

So davincim — have you tried rearranging your code to interpret the bilateral nacelles?

Thanks for replying davincim! Why no, I haven’t tried that. Does that work for all WP templates?

No problem, davincim. Glad to help.

But it has been my experience that you should avoid doing that with Tempaltes A, B, and C.

sorry, I just got lonely in here. figured i could spend time having a conversation….with myself. haven’t felt this rejected since my girlfriend left me back in my college days. ??
