I’m getting a bit desperate and I have searched all day for any threads with the same problem but it seem that is impossible to fix it.

When I try to access my blog this message happens:

    403 Forbidden

Access to this resource on the server is denied!
    Powered By LiteSpeed Web Server
LiteSpeed Technologies is not responsible for administration and contents of this web site!

I have found that I need to edit .htaccess file but this happens in FileZilla:
    1. When I’m trying to change the file permission from 644 to 755 this is the message I get:
Status: Set permissions of ‘/public_html/blog/.htaccess’ to ‘755’
    Command: SITE CHMOD 755 .htaccess
Response: 550 Could not change perms on .htaccess: Operation not permitted

    2. When I try to delete it:
    Command: DELE .htaccess
Response: 550 Could not delete .htaccess: Operation not permitted

    3. When I try to override with a local version on my computer:
    Status: Starting upload of C:\Users\Florin\Desktop\.htaccess
    Command: PASV
Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (93,113,25,50,123,214)
    Command: STOR .htaccess
Response: 553 Can’t open that file: Permission denied
    Error: Critical file transfer error

Please let me know if you have any ideas, I’m getting desperate!!! Thanks!

BTW: This line in on top of the ..htaccess file which I assume is the problem:

deny from all #spam din locatia /blog/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/option28.php

Have you contacted your hosting provider yet? It sounds like perhaps there are some permissions they may be able to help out with.

Yes I have contacted them as well but so far no reply

It sounds as if your host is not giving you permission to change those permissions. Do you have a web-based control panel you log into, apart from FTP’ing with FileZilla?

Yes, I have tried with the web-based cpanel as well but unfortunately the same result.

I don’t understand why the host suddenly decided to block my permission to this file without warning and the access to the blog. The other part of my domain works just fine, but not the WordPress. I will be curious to see what is their response but I thought someone else had the same issue.
