Thanks Macmanx. I created my static page outside WordPress, meaning these are not WP pages. So I guess the above link doesn’t apply to my need.

It may or may not. Always worth a shot. You can always delete the .htaccess file if it doesn’t work.

Permalink works well for my wp blog but not with my external static pages.

Does this work?

RewriteRule ^mytemplate/([^/]+)/?$ /mytemplate.php?view=$1 [QSA,L]

The last (from “RewriteRule”) needs to be on one line.

BenDG, thanks a lot man, it works! There’s just one problem though. I get 404 when I call pages that contain iframe/javascript from external folder. Can this be fixed?

It all works now. All external reference must start with /.
