• A month or two ago I changed the permalink structure on our blog. I came across a post on Yoast’s website that provides a tool to automatically generate redirects from the old permalink structure to the new one by adding a line to the .htaccess file.

A few times since then though, this line has been automatically removed from the file, meaning visitors get 404 errors until I realize it’s broken again and add it back into .htaccess

Is there any way to stop this from being removed for no apparent reason? My site is https://youthworkinit.com/

n.b. I just came across this question where the OP seemed to have the same problem. I’ve been entering the additional line after the #BEGIN WordPress line – should it therefore be going before it at the very top of the file?
