htaccess file in subfolder

  • I’m having a challenge with a particular plugin (ContactForm7) and in trying to diagnose the problem, I’ve noticed that there is an htaccess file in the subfolder that ContactForm7 creates to store uploads.

    I noticed I have a htaccess file in the root also.

    Could the htaccess file in the subfolder be causing problems with the plugin and can it safely be removed?

    Highly unlikely if the plugin installed it.

    can it safely be removed

    I’d imagine that this might compromise the security of your forum uploads.
