    i have a problem installing buddypress
    i have to edit the .htaccess file but i can’t find one in my ftp transfer program

    could someone plese help me?

  • if you still have default permalinks, you may not have one

    also, some ftp clients you have to “show hidden files” in ftp client

    and if you still can’t find it then create it in notepad, first it should be saved as 1.htaccess in notepad, then rename it to .htaccess after its been uploaded

    @412mark412: i did this, then it dissapeared and now i get error on my site, i deleted it completely

    Your FTP client needs to be configured to show hidden files, most FTP applications hide files such as .htaccess files by default.

    What FTP application are you using?
