.htaccess existence makes my site broken?
-
I have no idea why this is happening, I’ve tried to contact my host several times but in vain, they are not replying.
We have a blog located at https://dancover.fi/blog-new/ – and right after a clean install it works 100% without any issues. Shortly after though trying to access any part of the WordPress blog results in this message:
No matter what I’ve tried, the only solution seems to be to delete the .htaccess file completely. (Not even a blank file works) but doing so obviously means that any page except the frontpage doesn’t work anymore.
Updating permalinks recreates the .htaccess file and the site doesn’t work once again.
I’m completely lost in what could possibility be the reason, nothing seems to work. This hasn’t been an issue at any other host provider I’ve ever tried.
Any suggestions? Even a clean install with no plugins and no theme except the default one seems to work either. What I’m finding so odd is how it seems to work at first, but a few hours later (without any editing, new pages etc.) it doesn’t.
