.htaccess custom settings lost after plugin update

  • Not sure if this is caused by the plugin or it’s some sort of backup process running on the hosting side. However, the .htaccess lost all my custom settings after the plugin update. It has also heppened in the past, from time to time my custom settings disappear from .htaccess.

    @coolcamera This doesn’t sound like anything our plugin would cause. The only time the .htaccess file is written to by All in One SEO is when you make changes in the File Editor module.

    It sounds like you have a plugin on your site that is writing to the .htaccess file and wiping all other changes from it.

    Yes, I am actually editing the .htaccess using the SEO plugin, as I find it easier than doing it using cPanel. However, every now and then my custom entries disappear. Not sure though if my changes are being deleted by the SEO plugin or something else. However, today my .htaccess changes disappeared after having updated the plugin.
