HTACCESS Configuration Help!!

    Hello, we have the free version configured however we keep getting the same issue when trying to Optimize Wordfence Firewall settings…

    So after clicking downloading the .HTACCESS file then saving… the same error warning message keeps appearing again and again…

    I just need to know my website is secure and what steps I need to take to make sure it’s configured correctly..

    I think it is the rights of the wflogs directory that is wrong. WF keeps changing it.

    Check the owner (apache or www) and give it the write right then, give it a few seconds and refresh the WF page to see what will happen.

    Hi @tomsenior856,

    Wordfence should automatically update your .htaccess, the download provided is only a backup of your current .htaccess. Replacing the .htaccess with the one you downloaded will replace any changes that Wordfence made.
