    Hi ADNE,

Please make a backup of the .htaccess file (located in the root directory of the WordPress core) through FTP or the file manager. When done, find the following lines in this file:

Order Deny,Allow (possibly, Allow,Deny – depending on the plugin settings you’ve selected)

Deny from ip or text here

When found, delete these lines. You will need to change file access permission settings (make sure that the file has 644 or 0644 rights, depending on the hosting settings).

Please make use of the following information:

Hi. Sorry to ask for this topic to be reopened, but when I use your htaccess plugin, I continue to receive 403 errors after the plugin modifies .htaccess.

I learned it’s because the plugin rewrites the permissions to 600. My website requires .htaccess have permissions 644.

Let me know when this will be updated or configurable, then I can try the plugin again.
