    Hello there,

    I know hreflang=”x-default” is not mandatory but Google recommends using it.

    Consider adding a fallback page for unmatched languages, especially on language/country selectors or auto-redirecting homepages. Use the the x-default value:
    <link rel=”alternate” href=”https://example.com/&#8221; hreflang=”x-default” />

    Please let me know how to add it for my default site language i.e. English.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

    If you want to have it then you can modify wp-content/plugins/gtranslate/gtranslate.php file and add it inside function gtranslate_add_hreflang_tags definition.

    I do not recommend playing with it, if you do not configure it right most likely it will cause more harm than do any good (if you believe it will do any).

    Thanks! ??
