Howto display pluggin in my Home page

Once you have the reviews downloaded and showing on the Review List page in the plugin. Go to the Template page and create a template. Then it will give you the shortcode that you can use to place on a Post or Page. The default testimonial is just an example it will not show on your site.

I created Template, and the “shortcode” button shows: “To display this in your Sidebar or other Widget areas, add the WP Reviews widget under Appearance > Widgets, and then select this template in the drop down.”

Edit the review template and change the “Choose Template Type:” to Post or Page. Then save it. Then click the Shortcode button, it will give you a Shortcode to use.

Hello I have purchased official theme and your plugin comes with that theme, wp reviews plugin was included in my theme package so I have made all as was shown in instruction but it doen`t show comments why?

@karsarkis please post the URL of where they are supposed to show.

I’ve done everything, have the code… put it WHERE (Template=Stout)?

The plugin calls it a shortcode to post on my page but I don’t know where to put it. I haven’t used the html editor in my template – I’m a bit outdated at HTML4. There are a million php files so I don’t know where to put that either unless I know exactly which php file in my template (Stout).

I went to customize, Footer 1, and selecting WP Reviews as a widget is there – but trying to select the template I saved – it’s blank and I can’t enter free form text.

I changed the template to widget instead of post, and then it was there I could put the widget in Footer 1 with the template name showing up but after saving it’s still empty.

@runt3 You can use a Shortcode in a Text Widget. Or like you have figured out you can switch the review template to Widget type and it should show up as a widget selection. Make sure you actually have reviews on the Review List Page of the plugin. If you do, then please post a link to the page. It could be a javascript error of some sort keeping the slider from being created.
