• Hi,

I’ve got a blog page set up using the ‘blog.template’ as the style of my page.

I’d like to insert a section of text above all the blog posts. I tried doing this by using the page builder and inserting a ‘text’ widget. However the content in the widget does not publish to the page.

Is there anyway to customise the blog page with content of your choice?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Yes I want an answer to this too please.

It would be great if the structure of the “blog” template could be edited through Pagebuilder. It doesn’t have to be the main post content area. I guess the majority of us would be happy if we can edit the sidebar area of the blog.

I seem to have alot of unnecessary sub-categories on the sidebar part of my blog which I would like to get rid off permanently.

An example I saw another vantage user use is here. athleticnutritionandperformance.com/?page_id=83

Any idea how I can get my blog sidebar to be similar to his?

My apologies if my question is unrelated to this person’s topic

hi i am new to wordpress i am tring to build a site, so i downloaded themes but could not change my site’s font in urdu e.g jameel noori nastaleeq urdu fonts. i downloaded a theme in urdu but could not edit it to change it in my own theme.
    please help.

Bryan333- You should be able to alter your sidebar by going to ‘Widgets’ in your control panel of WordPress. The Widgets section shows you all the ‘widget’ items in your sidebar or footer. Which you can then drag off if you want to remove them. You can also add relevant widgets like the example you showed to include things like the ‘archive’ or ‘twitter feed’.

    Hope that helps.

Baker_Girl- Yes I am familiar with that. My concern was the blog template itself, as doing anything(eg. adding a widget) through page builder would not add or remove to the blog layout when published.

See all the unnecessary details that are being published on the right side of the blog? I want to remove most of that stuff to something like this

    https://www.talentree.com.au/blog2/ (Just the right side)

This was made using full width,no title template, but if I use the wordpress post function, it won’t be displayed on this page, only on the blog template.

Hence the reason for these questions.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated!
