How will Nextgen work with Accelerated Mobile Pages ?

    @gemini23 – We have not tested with “Accelerated Mobile Pages”, what behavior are you currently seeing that would indicate a concern?

    NextGen gallery isn’t displaying at all on AMP pages…. so to either display images OR to disable displaying on AMP pages…

    That is fine.. but is there a way to disable NextGen when displayed on AMP?

    @gemini23 – Are you looking to disable NextGEN Gallery in mobile views, or only components of NextGEN Gallery? Either way, I would suggest some sort of conditional check such as wp_is_mobile() but as it is there is no built-in method for NextGEN Gallery that we have written.

    At the moment No images display at all in NextGen gallery although the outline ‘box’ is there – so it looks poor. A big white space…

    So any website that uses NextGen – and over 1 million downloads – they won’t display very well on AMP posts… better to either disable them altogether or how to display images

    @gemini23 – We do not have a method to specifically disable NextGEN Gallery in mobile views. It’s just not something we have ever considered.

    I’ve the same problem as Gemini23. What would be the code for functions.php if I’m looking to disable NextGen Gallery in mobile views?

    @psonetz – As noted, we do not have any specific code to disable NextGEN Gallery in specific viewport sizes.

    photocrati – A bit harsh on psonetz “I’ve the same problem”…

    It is frustrating as NextGen have over 1 million downloads… but don’t seem interested in finding a solution… at the moment I am looking for another slider. I am sure there must be a simple solution.

    They still didn’t make it compatible for AMP, I removed the paid version of NextGen Gallery because of the same reason.
