Need to prevent yoast 14.1 from running on specific pages. As old filters like wpseo_opengraph and wpseo_twitter got deprecated. Is there any alternative for that.

    Hello @ssinghb269

Yes, a lot of filters have been deprecated. You can remove the plugin output using the new plugin surfaces as provided in this article — https://developer.yoast.com/blog/yoast-seo-14-0-using-yoast-seo-surfaces/

I skimmed this article, but I’m not clear on how to disabled output on specific pages with your plugin enabled. Can you please clarify?

@sglaserliventus Unfortunately, we can’t offer support on custom code (needed to change (core) features of our plugin). Since we don’t want to take the risk that we break your website by suggesting incorrect or incomplete code, we cannot advise you on how to make such changes. Maybe someone watching these forums can assist you further, but if your topic is inactive for 7 days, we’ll mark it as resolved to keep the overview.

    Thank you for your understanding.

So you are saying there is no way to specifically set the Yoast plugin to not run on specific pages?

@sglaserliventus There is a way to disable Yoast SEO on certain pages but that will need custom implementation and we are unable to assist with any custom implementation for you.

On the other hand, according to the forum guidelines, you’ll need to open a new topic instead of replying to an existing post. That way, it’s easier to track issues and provide assistance without alerting someone else for your problems and debugging, when they don’t need it.

Perhaps you could assist just a bit to get me started… I am not looking for help implementing custom code; I am asking for better clarity on the documentation provided with regard to how to implement YoastSEO(). I’m assuming we need to turn the Yoast default functionality off within the plugin or using a filter of some sort in able to manually implement YoastSEO()? If I am correct, can you please point me to your recommended method for doing so? If not, can you please clarify how this would solve our issue?

FTR, the original poster and I are working together on the exact same issue so using the same topic within this forum is correct.

    Thanks in advance!
