How true wordpress update 4.2.2 has some issues

    Hi,

    I have a 2 months old website using wordpress template. As of writing I still got the 4.1.5 version which I am looking at upgrading to 4.2.2 because it is already available. However, I am a bit skeptical in doing this because I heard from my friend that it has some issues which he encountered himself. Is that true? I’ve tried to search if there’s already a thread in connection to this but can’t find any.

    Looking forward to hear something

  • I haven’t noticed any issues, however it’s a good idea to stay updated no matter what. The reason is that many security patches have been released since 4.1.5 and people who write automated exploit software use that information to attack websites that haven’t been patched yet.

    Make a full backup of your files and database then update your site to the latest version. If there are problems, revert back using your backup.
