How To……use the More tag?

    Back Again! I’m sure you’ve heard questions on the More Tag till you’re sick of them, LOL. But, I’m using a new theme and my progress is kind of slow, since it is not only a new theme but a new site, one based on an old outdated idea…

    My question is, where/how exactly would I put the More tag on the end of a page? I know it’s just a fancy way of directing a visitor to Page 2, etc. But I’m still no expert in WP and occasionally need a bit of guidance… BTW this is my first attempt at a photoblog…

    Where you place it is entirely under your control.
    How you place it? Place your cursor when you want the post teaser to finish and then click the More button in the Visual Editor (the icon looks like two pages separated by a dotted line).

    Not quite correct. It’s a way of placing only part of a post’s content on the post listing pages of many themes. Visitors click on the “more” link to reach the full content of that particular post.

    OK, I think I understand. But yes, I’m sure the customizing thread will be very useful reading! That was what I was searching for earlier but didn’t find. Thanks much! ??
