How to write drop-down function for text widgets?

Hi all, i wish to have a drop down list of links by using the text widget but I’m not sure what code to put in there.

I don’t really want to use the link categories widget because firstly i can’t change the heading and secondly I don’t think I can do a drop-down with that anyway.
