    Hi,

I have multiple Formidable forms created, each with a separate form id, e.g. 1, 2, 3 and so forth. Each of them have their own text fields. I want to validate a text field in Form 2 that has a field id of 12. In other words, I want to validate field 12 of Form 2.

I have gone through this link https://formidableforms.com/knowledgebase/frm_validate_field_entry/

It does show how to validate the field entry, but doesn’t give a clue to choose the specific Form with a Form id.

This link allows to validate a Form id https://formidableforms.com/knowledgebase/frm_validate_entry/ but doesn’t seem to use the field id.

So, how is it possible to validate a form field of a specific form?

I am long time user of Gravityforms and am really impressed by Formidable Forms and planning to buy the business license. The specific feature I am talking about, i.e. Form field validation for a specific form is available with Gravityforms, https://docs.gravityforms.com/gform_validation/

Is there a way to go about this?

    Thanks & regards

    Hi there,

I’m afraid we only support the Lite plugin here.

For support with Premium features could you please open a ticket in our helpdesk? https://formidableforms.com/new-topic/

    Thank you!

    Hi —

Thanks for your question and the kind words about Formidable.

Formidable field ids (and keys) are unique across all forms. So there will be only one field 12 on your site, in all of your Formidable forms. We don’t specify form ids in our code examples because they’re not needed. The field id fully identifies the field.

If you have any questions about this, we’re happy to help!

    Warmly,

    Laura
