    You’d have to alter the code to use your custom taxonomy – providing that your custom taxonomy is hierarchical then it shouldn’t need too many changes but it would depend on how you have it set up. It’s not something I want to support because there are too many variations and edge cases for thousands of plugins that I don’t use myself.

    If you can code your own custom taxonomy then it should be simple enough for you to work out how to adapt the widget or see quickly that you can’t.

    I understand your stand and concerns.

    It’s a custom taxonomy added by a plugin I use. It is hierarchical and pretty much integrates very well so far. As this is pivotal to my current project, any help even if it’s one-off would be much appreciated. I am sure I would be able to take it up from there without bothering you further.
