How to use the Shortcode feature?

  • Hi there – I love the plugin and what it allows me to do – previously I would have to create a child theme!

    Perhaps I have overlooked something, but can you help me understand how to use the “Apply Using Shortcode” feature? I understand how to enter the script/CSS/PHP, but how do I call it in a post? I am looking at the example screenshot you provided on how to add PHP and I do not understand how to apply this in practice. To be able to insert it in a post, should we not be able to name the code piece? Perhaps you can provide me with a brief example on on how to insert your demo code in a post.

  • After looking in the code the answer is:

    Use a shortcode like this:

    [wce_code id=”1″]

    The wce_code bit is missing from any documentation.

    Thank you very much @simonbugler – this works for me!

    You are right, I did not find documentation about using the shortcodes either, and there seems to be a bug preventing the shortcodes from being displayed correctly in the plugin options panel.

    Too bad the plugin author ignores this forum.
