How to use term counter in a different way

Hi, I am current using the current post term short code on the listing using the counter descending method. I would like to know if there is a way that rather then the counter showing by popularity it can rather show by the number of post that have been assigned to the Taxonomy category.

For example:
South Africa-t > has 4 posts assigned.

Gauteng-t > has 3 posts assigned.

Johannesburg-t > has 2 posts assigned.

Atholl > has 1 posts assigned.

So I would like to know if there is a way to display it in descending order with the most posts first.

South Africa, Gauteng, Johannesburg, Atholl
