Having a VERY difficult time finding this information. It seems like it should be such a basic setting, but nothing I’m doing is working.

I’m using the WooCommerce – excelling eCommerce plugin. 2.4.6. I have not set any shipping or tax settings because I want to use the settings already established on the PayPal account. In Settings>>Checkout>>PayPal, I’ve enabled Standard and set the email. I had thought PayPal would handle the rest, but apparently I had to select Send Shipping details to PayPal in order to force the use of the shipping setup on PayPal. However I can’t get it to charge tax. I can’t enable shipping because that requires setting up of shipping details in WC. And even though I’ve enabled taxes and tax calculations in Tax Options, it is not showing up in PayPal.

Is another plugin or extension required to make this happen? Is the PayPal Express plugin what I need to use? Or can someone can tell me what switches to flip to make this happen? Thank you!

As far as I know, you should not use PayPal side tax and shipping. WC (the cart) needs to handle it. PayPal in our case is used only for payment.

Thanks very much for that info Mike. I wish it said that somewhere in the documentation – or if it already does, I guess I missed it.

    Thanks again!
