    Hi there,

in the field “Post Type Slug” in basic settings we would like to use tags that are available in WP’s overall permalink settings. In particular, we would like to use this setting for a given custom post type:

    folder/%post_id%/%postname%/

However, it is not possible to insert tags into the “Post Type Slug” field.

How can we achieve the desired result?

    Best

Just to be certain, we’re a plugin meant to help create and register post types, not a plugin meant to customize other post types and their permalink structure.

Not sure what your post type(s) in question are and what permalinks you’re wanting for them, at this point.

All right, I see. I was naive and thought that it would be possible to set custom permalink structures in the field “Post Type Slug”. Anyway, I realize there are other plugins that can be used to do this.

No worries. I’m rooting for you to find a solution that meets your needs overall.
