How to use symlinks for WordPress on subdomain to use main domain URLs

    I have a WordPress blog installed on a subdomain, like:

    blog.domainname.com

    I would like to map the subdomain URL’s to use the WordPress blog as a subfolder within the main ‘www’ domain, like:

    https://www.domainname.com/blog/

    Without moving the WordPress installation.

    Can it be done using Apache .htaccess rewrites? For example with symlinks?

    If it’s possible, what redirect would I need?

    And, do I have to change anything in the WordPress config/database?
