How to use SEO friendly urls with year/month/title?

Go to SETTINGS > PERMALINKS, and configure your permalink structure as desired.

Choosing “Month and Name” should change the Custom Structure to /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/ which should give the URL format you desire.

Note that this only affects POSTs, and not PAGEs.

Using date in the URL is not a SEO-friendly. SEO-friendly URLs that are designed to meet the needs of users and help search engines understand what a web page is about. They are typically short, descriptive, and include relevant keywords.
