How to use rel=canonical for single pages?

I’d like to use rel=canonical to some single pages to indicate duplicate content, but I can’t figure out how to do it. It appears that all of the plugins that add the rel=canonical tag add the same tag to every page and can’t be used for the purpose I need. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
