How to use new positions or create a new one

    Hi Friends,
    First of all ,I’m a beginner in wordpress
    I have some problem with widgets & plugin outputs
    I changed several template till to now & however some of them were column but I just could have 4 position to put my widgets there,
    ( one sidebar , and 3 footer positions )
    How can create more positions in a template or how can show the output of some plugins in wordpress posts area
    I’m using BP on wordpress & don’t use it as a blog- it’s the why i’m not interesting to have any post in my wordpress
