How to use more than one gallery type?

  • Is there a way to use the built in WordPress gallery or another gallery shortcode plugin on the same site with RGG? It appears that RGG takes over the gallery feature. I like RGG but it’s not perfect, so I’d like to use more than one gallery type on my site.

    The Pros:
    1. Uses the gallery shortcode
    2. Nice masonry tile layouts
    3. Good customization options with shortcode
    4. Fast loading

    The Cons:
    1. No captions
    2. Ugly loading
    3. Takes over gallery shortcode

    By reading the instruction I now see it’s possible to use the native WordPress gallery with [gallery type="native"], but I still would like to use another plugin that uses the [“gallery plugin name” id=”123″] feature.
