How to use custom fields inserted into registration form?

  • I am using the Kleo theme + buddypress plugin + ultimate member plugin.
    I’ve modified the default registration page adding a few custom fields (text fields etc. like “maiden surname”). The registration of the new users works fine. But my Profile page (which is actually the “Default User” page, title changed to read “Profile”) does not show the custom fields. How can I modify the Default User page so that it also shows my text lines and the custom field values for that member?
    Have tried “{maiden_name}” but I see exactly this text with the braces.

    If i may rephrase my question: How can I refer to custom fields of the registration form when I am using pages/posts that refer to a member?
