How to use auto-generated PDF images in a view loop?

  • I have searched the forums for this topic and the only answers I found list some code, but no instructions on what to do with it or where to put it.

    I have a custom content type with a file upload field and a view loop for displaying all the items. Instead of a text link to the single post page, I want to display the generated PDF thumbnail with the link wrapped around it for each item. How is this done without manually linking every item or setting the featured image manually?
