On my website, when I list my artwork I want to use the names of the artwork. But when I want it listed on Facebook marketplace I would like to use a different title, for example: <artname> <size> Oil Painting by Sobia

I see an option to use a different description on facebook but no option to use a different title.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi Sobia!

You can edit the product name from the Facebook catalog by clicking on it and choose edit item.

However, because the item was created using WooCommerce, your edits may be overridden in the future if you trigger a sync of the product copy from WooCommerce again.

You will see the following notification message from Facebook when you click edit item : https://d.pr/i/vBgFid

Just ignore the notice and edit to make the changes.

Another point is when customers click the link from Facebook to buy it on your site, they will see the site product name not the one edited on Facebook. Unless you edit the primary data source from WooCommerce.

With that being said, I’m marking the topic as solved for now.

Thanks for providing the workaround. Though it seems like I would have to do this manually and and it may get overriden on a future sync. Can you please consider this as a feature request in the coming updates to allow using a different title on FB?

    You are welcome.

It would be great to have you add your ideas to the Facebook Ideas Board, which is where developers go to look for future plugin features and improvements.

Another advantage is that you can vote other’s feature requests from the board, and they’ll vote for yours too!
