How to upload themes

  • I can download themes to my computer…but cannot get them to upload to a themes directory where I can use them for my site.

    This is basic, but I am stumped

    I have filezilla…still not sure how to get the files uploaded with filezilla. I’ve clicked every button on there and don’t see it. Do I have to send the file from my download TO FILZILLA?

    I have an older Mac, so I unfortunately can’t use FileZilla, but in general, you download a file to your computer and then use a FTP program like FileZilla to upload it to your website. You have to set up your FTP program first with your web address, website (not WordPress) user name and password.

    Still incomplete video, yes. From where to get the host ip? Can you clear that? Worldpress has not providede any ip address for my account, how to add it? Nothing is being done, all tutorials on net sucks, hopeless and bogus one. Make everything clear in your tutorial. Hope you will add some more info about host ip, links, connection.

    xecutive: WordPress is not your mother. It does not hold your hand.

    WordPress is a piece of free software used to create and manage websites. However, in order to use it, then you do need to have some basic, fundamental knowledge of how to run a website.

    In other words, if you don’t know how to FTP to your own website and are unable to figure it out on your own, then you probably should not be running your own website. My suggestion is to hire somebody else to run it for you.

    better to b owner of a good website rather than using sm tools.
