how to upload a google HTML file and in get my site to show up in google?

Hi all

I’ve had a lot of joy creating my first website and had so much help from the kind users here =)

however i still cannot get my website to appear on the google search engine.

I apologize if this is a obvious question but it can become overwhelming to learn all these new concepts at once. SEO,Google analytic s, Adwords etc.
Im a beginner and trying to get my head around all these concepts

1)Plain and simple..what is the simplest and fastest way to get my website to appear on a google search?

2) I have heard that i can upload a google html file to my website?,i have the file but how do i upload this,is there a simple way?
