• 2 days ago I decided to reopen a site that was closed 8 years ago when leaving Sitesell as a host. I failed at uploading the HTML pages to WordPress and it got all a mess. I think I used some bundle method. Now several years since using WP. I think it is xHTML since it uses <br />, not <br>. But not sure.

THe link above is to the HTML based website, not WP based.

    1) DOes anyone know a sure fire way to upload the HTML pages, hereby being able to benefit from the plugins and versatility of WP?

    2) I wonder if I should let it be as is, since it is working well apart from me having had to adjust some links. THen get some developer to create a NAv bar. I don’t know if there is some easy Vertical Nav bar code available somewhere which would be easy to insert the page links into?

    Cheers

  • You can use WP Scraper plugin or HTML Import (which is old but works well).
There are some other plugins that do this as well.

But you should consider that your topic is very competitive and your content is old. Many things have changed since it was written. You might not have much value in the old content.

Txs. I will give it a go. Well the site is both very overall so a lot of it is still good basic info. HOwever the pages about programs and apps is outdated yes. HOwever being able to import it into WOrdpress means I will be able to easily update and maintain it, which I haven’t done since 8 years ago I gave up importing it as a bundle of many files, and instead focused on working on my Health related WordPress sites.
