How to upgrade free to pro version

Hello,

I just purchased the pro version.
I was using the free version till now.
How I install the pro version by keeping the free version slider setting.

I have read here https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/484-updating-the-free-version-to-the-pro but here saying “If you are using WordPress, go to your Plugins list, deactivate and delete the free Smart Slider 3 plugin.” then I how can I keep the previous setting if I delete the free version.
