How to update from ninja-forms-legacy

Hi,

While processing updates on a client site today I ran into an issue which I tracked back to not having the ninja-forms-legacy plugin installed. When the ninja-forms-legacy plugin is deactivated, the forms did not appear on the website and there was no “Forms” item in the admin navigation menu. When I tried to visit the Forms page directly through the URL, I received an error that I did not have permission to view the page (I am an Administrator).

I solved this by activating the ninja-forms-legacy plugin. But I see that this is deprecated and will be switched off December 2021.

How can I update so that I don’t rely on the ninja-forms-legacy plugin? I don’t see any upgrade or migration prompts in my admin dashboard. And I’ve tried to search on Google.

I’m mildly confused because I distinctly remember the switch to the new 3.0 UI many years ago, and I’m pretty sure that was completed. Is it possible that my system has somehow gotten switched into thinking it is on the old version?
