I’m really sorry about the unexpected email summary!
Usually, if ExactMetrics and Google Analytics haven’t been connected yet, no email summaries will be sent out.
Since you received the email summary, to prevent any future emails from being sent, please authenticate ExactMetrics and then deactivate the option. The authentication process links the property for the email summaries to fetch and send data, so in order to stop receiving email summaries, the user must confirm that they have chosen to disable the summaries for that specific Google Analytics property. This can be done after successfully authenticating the site.
We’ve had received numerous requests to enable email reports by default. Users frequently forget to activate them, so we’ve made it the default setting in the setup.
