How to unlock Checkout blocks

    Simple question: I just want to shift the Woocommerce checkout blocks in Gutenberg editor. But in Gutenberg editor you can’t unlock these blocks. Can you unlock those by coding ?! Normally, you can unlock everything in Gutenberg editor but not these Woocommerce checkout blocks.

    How do I do this?

    Good luck getting an answer, spent a whole day searching and looking for a clue. From what I could tell, the cart and checkout blocks are hard locked and you’d need some serious codes to unlock them. Didn’t have the courage or expertise to make the time to test breaking into that vault.

    Though discovered a couple of necessary plugins aren’t compatible with the new Woo-block pages anyway, so have to plan that boondoggle ride for another day.

    The WooCommerce checkout blocks are currently not editable in the Gutenberg editor by design. This is to ensure the functionality and security of the checkout process.

    While we understand the flexibility Gutenberg editor provides in customizing other blocks, the WooCommerce checkout blocks are locked to prevent any potential issues that could disrupt the checkout process for your customers.

    Thank you for your answer. Then, I try to ask like this:

    My checkout page has the usual 2 columns by Woocommerce default:

    1st column (left) contains:
    “Billing Details” block
    and beneath:
    “Payment” block
    with the payment options (Paypal, Credit card, etc.)

    2nd column (right) contains:
    “Your order” block

    I would of course like the payment block to be below the order block. How can I make that happen? When I look at shops, they all have the payment block below the order block. I don’t know why my payment block is below “Billing Details” !?

    This is how the block is set up by default and it is not possible to change it on WooCommerce settings.

    Having said that, there are some themes and plugins (page builders, checkout editors) that do change that, so you might want to look for those ??
