How to undo character conversions to etc?

  • When a query is passed that has special characters like brackets and slashes, wordpress converts those characters before storing them in the database… converts them to a percentage sign and a number.
    For instance, if I pass <div> it’ll get stored as %3Cdiv%3E

    But if want to recall that info, and display the actual phrase <div> how would I do it?
